Two Great Grant Opportunities

Sustain Our Lakes is currently inviting applications for competitive funding through its Stewardship Grants Program and its Community Grants Program. The grants are open to non-profit organizations; state, tribal and local governments; and educational institutions.
Projects must occur within the Great Lakes basin and must direct the majority of the grant funding toward on-the-ground habitat restoration. The Community Grant awards will range from $25,000 to $150,000. The Stewardship Grant awards will range from $150,000 to $1,500,000. For more information about the grants and how to apply click here. The deadline for applications is February 15, 2012.
Sustain Our Lakes will also host a 2012 funding webinar on January 11, 2012 at 11am and will last approximately 1 hour. Webinar participants will learn about Sustain Our Lakes’ funding priorities and application process, see examples of past projects, and receive tips for submitting competitive proposals. Participants can register at https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/544871304
